Here's the fast version of setting up IPTV on an LG Smart TV. For the full explanation of why LG needs this approach, plus an HDMI-stick alternative, see our IPTV on LG TV guide.
Before You Start
Have your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes login ready — it's sent automatically after you subscribe.
Step-by-Step Installation
- Install Smart IPTV from the LG Content Store. Search for "Smart IPTV" or "SIPTV" and install the free app.
- Find your TV's MAC address. The installed app displays it on screen — write it down.
- Register your playlist online. Visit siptv.app/faq on a phone or computer, create a free account, and add your MAC address plus your M3U URL.
- Reload the app on your TV. Restart SIPTV — your channel and VOD list will load automatically.
If It Doesn't Work the First Time
A blank list almost always traces back to the playlist URL being entered incorrectly on the activation page. If channels load but stutter, check your LG TV's Wi-Fi signal strength under Settings → Network, or switch to a wired connection for more consistent playback.
Next Steps
If your LG model doesn't support SIPTV well, connecting a Fire TV Stick gives you full access to apps like IPTV Smarters instead — see how to install IPTV on Firestick.
